Korean bolognese

RECIPE

INGREDIENTS (serves 4 persons)

  • Grounded beef, 400-500g

  • Garlic, 4 cloves

  • Tomatoes, 4 medium sized

  • Crushed tomatoes, 400g

  • Red wine, 1-1.5 dl

  • Soy sauce, 0.5 dl

  • Ox buillon, 1/2 dice

  • Gochugaru (Korean chili powder)

  • Salt & pepper

  • Sesame seeds

  • Butter/olive oil

HOW TO
1. Fry garlic and tomatoes in olive oil until soft
2. Add wine and let simmer until the liquid is gone (put aside)
3. Fry grounded beef in butter until the surface is cooked
4. Add garlic/tomato mix, crushed tomatoes and rest of the ingredients. Tip! The gochugaru powder is quite spicy, so start with 1 tbs and add more if you’d like it 🔥
5. Let simmer while you cook the pasta
6. Plate, serve, enjoy!

SERVE WITH
Wholewheat pasta and parmesan + kimchi on the side

GOOD FOR

This simple dish will impress anyone on a weekday night (or maybe even weekend). And your body will happily thank you for all the protein (grounded beef), fibers (wholewheat pasta, tomatoes) and nutrients (garlic/tomatoes). Adding kimchi on the side is optional but great for your microbiome (since fermented food is packed with probiotics).
